Release Delay & Moving to Unreal Engine

-------------------------------------------------------

Greetings!

The original plan for this game was to publish a full release in the Summer of 2021. It is now Fall, and that has clearly not happened. The reason for this being, I graduated college and got an actual full-time job in Triple-A gameplay programming!

The downside: I have significantly less time to work on this side project of mine.

The upside? I've dived head-first into Unreal Engine and been learning a TON.

-------------------------------------------------------

So, what does that mean for Tifomo?

I've decided to remake the entire game in Unreal Engine. This is going to take a while, but I believe I can largely improve upon what I currently have, both performance-wise, and in regards to the entire audiovisual experience.

My original C# code was starting to get quite messy, and many aspects of the game were hard-coded. I aim to make a more dynamic experience, which will result in greater gameplay variability for you, and a much smoother editing process for me.

Visually, I will be maintaining the original demo's style, but will be heavily reworking the UI and creating a less-uniform maze landscape with many, many more props, landmarks, and secrets hidden throughout!

Finally, I am working on further accessibility settings, which includes getting a voice actor(s) for your friendly neighborhood Narrator Voice.

-------------------------------------------------------

I can't say when exactly I will finish this project, but I promise that it is in the works, and I have not forgotten about it!

-------------------------------------------------------

Bye for now,

Liza Salvi
